Mobile pneumatic blast units
Overall description
Mobile pneumatic blast units for dry blasting are used for cleaning, pre-treatment, and treatment of surfaces of various products both in blast rooms with abrasive back haul and for open area assembly operations blasting.
Blast unit construction allows most common types and sizes of abrasives to be used - i.e. metallic (steel grit abrasive) and non-metallic (sand, slag, and corundum). The type and size of the abrasive depends on the base material of treated components, their original surface, and the required final coating.
A blast unit attendant, wearing safety blasting devices, controls the blasting process with a pneumatic safety remote control placed at the end of jet hose. This system has the ON/OFF positions, and it controls the closing valve of the tank filling mouth. If the jet machine, part of which is the jet unit, has an automatic abrasive back haul (blast room), the attendant controls the blast unit tank filling with the remote control.
