Company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. came into existence in 1991. It was founded by surface treatment field specialists, who have more than twenty years of experience with equipment systems delivery and applied research.

At first, the company’s activity was focused on surface treatment consulting, especially in the fields of blasting, metal spraying (metallization), and paint matter applying.  Gradually, it started its own production of surface treatment equipment.  The first equipment produced were pneumatic suction and pressure blast boxes (PTZ model), which are still manufactured. However, their construction was changed to fully satisfy current technical trends, standards and regulations valid both in the Czech Republic and EU.  The construction of this equipment can be adjusted to meet the standards and regulations valid in other than the above mentioned countries (e.g. Russia).

For the period of its existence, company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. has developed and produced more than 150 pneumatic blast boxes.

In the following years, the company has started to produce its own pneumatic blast rooms, and the equipment for spraying of metals – metal spraying boxes and chambers; it also started to deliver paint shops and complete surface treatment equipment complexes.

To replenish the blast equipment product line, the company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. started to cooperate with English producers of blast machines with throwing units (S.E.S. Plc. and Spenser & Halstead Ltd.) whose machines it delivered to the Czech Republic for several years.

Currently, we still secure the service and spare parts delivery services for their blast machines.

Since 2003, the S.A.F. company  Praha spol. Ltd. has been producing and delivering their own continuous blast wheel machines.

In 1993 the company moved from its previous premises to its current location in Přišimasy near Český Brod.  New workstations and offices were built between 1993 and 1995.

Due to increasing demand for blasting and metallizing equipment, the company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. joined other companies producing surface treatment equipment (paint shops, degreasing, etc.), and in 1996 they founded a joint stock company ASO Humpolec Plc. This company serves its founding companies (shareholders) as the mother company.

An assembly room for small and atypical equipment was finished in 2003/04 in Přišimasy. A new test room for blasting and metal spraying was built in 2004; here the company can offer tests on two kinds of hand-operated and semi-automatic pneumatic blast boxes in various parameters and using different types of abrasives.  The test room is also equipped with a metallizing box with gas and electro-arc sprayers.  Company interior renovation took place in 2005 (new dressing rooms, design office, and tool crib).

Further renovation is taking place in Přišimasy in 2008. It will allow extensions of business department, design department, and technical preparation and order implementation departments.

By the end of 2010, the company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. intends to build a new assembly hall, and a storehouse for semi-finished and finished products (currently rented).

Regarding its quality technical equipment, the station in Přišimasy serves for production of atypical blasting equipment; production and technology demanding parts; and currently even for development and production of appliances and equipment for special technology (e.g. equipment for testing pyrotechnics, following EN 14035).

Company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. can design and produce many special equipment constructions for general use.

In most cases, when implementing an order, the company S.A.F. Praha Ltd. oversees the project, and transforms the base order into complete construction and production documentation. Throughout the production process, the order is overseen by a control system with internal audit.  All equipment undergoes regular checks at set stages of production, as well as a complex test at the end.  All completed checks are recorded.

Long-standing experience with surface treatment equipment led to an extension into the field of renovation and major repairs of equipment, filtering unit exchange, repair and exchange of automatic blast wheel machines. Within the last five years, the company has carried out a number of modernizations and renovations of this equipment.

While operating on the market, the company has built itself a good position on both Czech and Slovak markets. It delivers into the EU countries and even outside the EU (Russia, Africa).
